This is a post about hatred. Not hatred for a person or group of people. Not even hatred of something exclusive to Stardoll. This is is hatred for a come back. Not just a come back, the most irritating come back of them all.
You may have noticed this idiom creeping into arguments on Stardoll in the last year or so. Self-satisfied noobs oozing with confidence as they posted those three simple, rage inducing words.
Oh how witty you are! How intellectual! What a refreshing and unique turn of phrase it is!
For a while it was 'k' we had to deal with. Every mildly boring topic or dead end in an argument could be replied to with a simple 'k' and irritating as it was it didn't cause me to clench my fists and see red quite like this overused internet meme does. Why, you ask?
Well people who do not often venture outside of Stardoll may not realise this but everything 'cool' on Stardoll becomes cool months after the rest of the internet has dried its hands of it.
And most big memes have their moments on Stardoll. Jessie Slaughter, Nyan Cat, 'Me Gusta'.
And most do not bother me. As often as I have seen them on the World Wide Web they still retain some sort of charm to them. But 'cool story bro' has never been charming.
It's just a surefire way to end an argument looking like a douchebag twat.
